This journey also became a wonderful family experience. Every member of my family got involved. When I returned home, my teenagers took over with the cap changes. It was a meaningful way for them to actively participate in my recovery and to feel that they, too, could make a difference.

For me, the cold caps worked extremely well. I only lost a small amount of hair on the sides of my head, and I am very happy with the results. This journey also became a wonderful family experience. Every member of my family got involved. When I returned home, my teenagers took over with the cap changes. It was a meaningful way for them to actively participate in my recovery and to feel that they, too, could make a difference. Even when I was on the go, I would change my caps myself in the car while crossing the Champlain Bridge! Is the process easy? No. Is it demanding? Yes. But it was worth every effort because it had such a tremendous impact on my morale. Despite the financial investment, since my insurance did not cover the cold caps, I have absolutely no regrets about my decision. I am incredibly grateful to the Garde tes cheveux Foundation for its guidance and support throughout this experience.
